Pls note:
Not a tutorial,
just a shared project file (simple frame-by-frame animated liquid element / rough animation study)
with a few (animated) description notes added ..
to better describe, frame-by-frame, what´s going on in there ..
(Actually, just one of many possible ways of how to approach this type of motion) ..

To get the most out of the project file -
some basic frame-by-frame/Animate CC knowledge is necessary (or - good to have).
For a better chance not to get lost in (animated) notes ..
turn their (folder) visibility on/off, one by one.
